Baseball Game Preview: Vision vs. Marsing Huskies

Vision is 0-7 against Marsing since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. Vision will be playing at home against Marsing at 7:30 p.m. Vision has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Vision is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Monday. They came up short against New Plymouth, falling 12-0.

Vision saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laken Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Adam Murphy also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Marsing waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with a 14-2 win. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Dresden Wood was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Godina, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Marsing always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Marsing's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Vision, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Vision has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Marsing struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
