You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Mauldin on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the J.L. Mann Patriots out of the water with a 48-6 final score. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Mavericks this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mauldin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tamari Shepherd, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The Mavericks are 3-1 when Shepherd posts 80 or more receiving yards, but 2-4 otherwise. Kamari Cannon also helped with two scores in total.

Mauldin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mauldin's defense and their three sacks. Lucas Hagedorn refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Tyson Smith got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Mauldin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games. As for J.L. Mann, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
