Baseball Recap: Republic Comes Up Short

Republic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Neosho Wildcats. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Thursday.

Republic's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Neosho, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Republic has already played their next contest (against Lebanon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Neosho, they will welcome Carthage at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
