Baseball Game Preview: Floyd Central Jaguars vs. East Jessamine Jaguars

Floyd Central will challenge East Jessamine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Floyd Central will be strutting in after a win while East Jessamine will be coming in after a loss.

Floyd Central will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Magoffin County on Wednesday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 18-1 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Jessamine's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Jessamine on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Floyd Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for East Jessamine, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
