The Riverside Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the West Scranton Invaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Riverside has three straight victories, West Scranton has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Riverside is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Holy Cross on Monday. Considering the Vikings have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverside got a massive performance out of Jason Posluszny, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Posluszny a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jose Sosa, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Riverside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West Scranton came up short against Delaware Valley on Monday and fell 10-6.
Julian Poniatowski and Colin May did some serious damage despite the final result: Poniatowski got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, while May went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that May has snagged this season.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for West Scranton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
West Scranton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Riverside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .385. It's a different story for West Scranton, though, as they've only averaged .238. Will they be able to contain Riverside's hitters?
Riverside got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against West Scranton by a conclusive 14-8 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Invaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
