Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Douglas County). They put the hurt on the Ponderosa Mustangs with a sharp 73-51 win on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Douglas County had a senior duo take command as Roman Saiz posted 21 points and Gavin Dale went 7 of 17 to rack up 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saiz has scored all season. Henry Shoemaker was another key player, putting up eight points.

Douglas County's record now sits at 6-14. As for Ponderosa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas County will square off against Castle View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ponderosa, they will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
