Goshen made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Luverne, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles blew past the Tigers 13-3 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Grant Taylor spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tyler McLendon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Mason Adair was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Goshen's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Luverne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Goshen will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
