Tennessee high school football rankings: Bartlett leads four new teams to Top 25

Shutout leads Panthers to victory and No. 16 in this week's Top 25.

Four new teams entered the Tennessee Top 25 this week, but no one made a bigger move than the Bartlett Panthers.

Coming off a narrow 22-19 win over Christian Brothers (Memphis), Barlett rode its defense to a 27-0 win over Southaven. on Friday. Robert Giaimo had a pair of touchdown runs but it was a pair of pick 6s, one returned 99 yards by Isaiah Cobbs and another 28 yards by Thomas Jones that led the Panthers to their fifth win in six tries.

For it, they moved up a whopping 19 spots to No. 16 in the Tennessee Top 25.

Other teams who entered were Farragut (Knoxville), Beech (Hendersonville) and Lipscomb Academy (Nashville), at No. 23, 24 and 25, respectively.



At the very top, Brentwood Academy (Brentwood) and Maryville each remained at 5-0 with lopsided victories. Top-ranked Brentwood Academy had a tough time putting away Father Ryan before prevailing 34-21, while No. 2 Maryville shut out Bearden, 28-0.
