Kolter Cranson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Branson/Kim over Sierra Grande
Starting off the list is Branson/Kim's Kolter Cranson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Cranson rushed for 268 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.
Unfortunately for Sierra Grande, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cranson. When Cranson last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Sierra Grande Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jadyn Martinez
Sierra Grande picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jadyn Martinez. Branson/Kim had no answer to Martinez as he picked up 111 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Martinez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 17 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Sierra Grande pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Martinez and Sierra Grande have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Cotopaxi at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Sunny Kent Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Saturday, La Veta got the W thanks in part to Sunny Kent playing the best football he has all season. Kent rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also caught a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
La Veta's win bumped their record up to 2-4. Kent and La Veta will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sierra Grande at 7:00 p.m. on October 24th.

Aron Ojeda and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Aron Ojeda's big game helped extend Sierra Grande's winning streak to six on Friday. Ojeda was dynamite, throwing for 150 yards and six touchdowns on only 14 passes, while also rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
On the year, Ojeda has thrown 27 touchdowns while averaging 191.2 passing yards per game.
