Baseball Game Preview: Holmes Aces vs. Pasquotank County Panthers

For the second straight game, Holmes will face off against Pasquotank County. Holmes will square off against Pasquotank County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holmes will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Holmes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Pasquotank County 8-6.

Myles Cobb was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Walston, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Kaden Parker was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Pasquotank County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Holmes, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
