West Cabarrus had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Olympic Trojans on Friday as the West Cabarrus Wolverines made off with a 10-1 win. It was an even better day for Ava Morin as she scored three goals for her team.
Something new happened on Friday as Jaeda Watts-nelson saw her first action of the season, playing 15 minutes against Olympic. Watts-nelson made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
West Cabarrus' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Olympic, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
