Basketball Game Preview: Central Lions vs. Griffin Bears

The Central Lions will challenge the Griffin Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Central beats Griffin with 55 points on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Central strolled past Northside with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 55-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Meanwhile, Griffin had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Mundy's Mill by the margin of a single free throw, 34-33.

Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Griffin, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
