Basketball Recap: Crescent City Christian Comes Up Short

Crescent City Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Martin's Episcopal Saints. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Saints are ranked 144th).

Crescent City Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

While Crescent City Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
