Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Comes Up Short

Cornerstone lost against Shelby County back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cornerstone Eagles lost 11-0 to the Shelby County Wildcats. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cornerstone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Shelby County, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone will take on Altamont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shelby County, they will square off against Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 8.4 goals per game this season.
