Baseball Recap: Putnam Vo-Tech Takes a Loss

Putnam Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Mary Saints, falling 15-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Putnam Vo-Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Franky Hernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Putnam Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Mary, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Putnam Vo-Tech has already played their next contest (against Gateway Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Mary, they will square off against Pathfinder RVT at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
