Baseball Recap: Gonzaga Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Gonzaga challenged Highland on Wednesday. The Eagles fell 6-3 to the Hawks. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly three runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Gonzaga and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Highland, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gonzaga is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against St. Albans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland, they will square off against Steward at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
