Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Marshall

The Lincoln Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Marshall Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Lincoln will head out to face Marshall after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Lincoln fell 2-0 to Lowell. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 841st, while the Cardinals are ranked 405th).

Meanwhile, Marshall kept a clean sheet against KIPP SF College Prep on Thursday. They came out on top against KIPP SF College Prep by a score of 2-0.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Marshall, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-10.

Lincoln came out on top in a nail-biter against Marshall in their previous matchup last Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
