Soccer Game Preview: Gridley vs. Chico

The Gridley Bulldogs will square off against the Chico Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Gridley sitting on four straight victories and Chico on five.

Gridley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Orland get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Nolan Weagant and Giovanni Garcia scored both of Gridley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Chico challenged Corning on Saturday. Chico beat Corning by a goal, winning 3-2.

Chico's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Gridley, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.

Gridley suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Chico when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Gridley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
