Volleyball Recap: Choctaw Central Victorious

Choctaw Central took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Northeast Lauderdale, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Trojans 2-1 on Saturday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Choctaw Central got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 15-12.

The victory made it two in a row for Choctaw Central and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Choctaw Central will head out to take on Quitman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they will venture away from home to square off against West Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
