Basketball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Hueytown on Monday, Clay-Chalkville came back down to earth. The Cougars took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huffman Vikings on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Huffman found their leader in sophomore Antonio Hill, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten rebounds. Hill's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarius Robinson, who posted ten points.

Clay-Chalkville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Huffman, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Clay-Chalkville has already played their next contest, a 100-8 win against Spanish Fort on the 26th. As for Huffman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-47 loss against Vestavia Hills on the 26th.
