Soccer Game Preview: Norris vs. Gretna East

The Norris Titans will square off against the Gretna East Griffins at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Norris: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Gretna East has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Norris' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Waverly. Norris haven't had any issues with Waverly recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Taylor Howard and Hailey McMurray scored both of Norris' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Gretna East faced Lincoln Southwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Griffins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Silver Hawks.

Gretna East's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Norris, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
