Softball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline couldn't beat Brentsville District on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Hawks fell 7-4 to the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by exactly three runs.

Emma Veitenthal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Kyleigh Williams was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Skyline now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Brentsville District, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Skyline is set to take on their familiar foe Kettle Run at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brentsville District will face off against rival Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
