Silver Lake Regional is a perfect 10-0 against Duxbury since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lakers will host the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Silver Lake Regional's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Plymouth North 20-0. The Lakers have beaten the Eagles the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Duxbury strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over Pembroke. Ten seems to be a good number for the Dragons as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Francesca ?Franky? Iovanna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Catherine Grimaldi was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Jodi Soderstrom was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Grimaldi wasn't the only one making solid contact: Duxbury kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Silver Lake Regional's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 12.4 runs thus far. As for Duxbury, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Silver Lake Regional took their win against Duxbury in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 25-0 score. Do the Lakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
