After flying high against High Tech Mesa on Monday, Liberty Charter came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the High Tech CV Bruins by a score of 15-14 on Thursday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Drake Keehl stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in 11 of his four plate appearances with two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Liberty Charter's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-2 (and 3-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Hays, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Liberty Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for High Tech CV, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
