Football Recap: Jersey Comes Up Short

Jersey extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were outmatched by the Waterloo Bulldogs and fell 48-14. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

As for Waterloo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Waterloo had a senior duo take command as Conrad Lindhorst rushed for 80 yards and one score on only six carries and Derez Sayles rushed for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries.

Jersey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 31-14 loss against Triad on the 10th. As for Waterloo, they have also already played their next game, a 43-14 victory against Highland on the 10th.
