Football Recap: Jersey Comes Up Short

Jersey extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were beaten by the Waterloo Bulldogs 48-14. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 145th).

As for Waterloo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Waterloo had a senior duo take command as Conrad Lindhorst rushed for 80 yards and one score on only six carries and Derez Sayles rushed for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries.
