Football Game Preview: Wilcox Chargers vs. Burlingame Panthers

The Wilcox Chargers will face off against the Burlingame Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox's defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so Burlingame's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Wilcox headed into their last match having not scored more than 13 points for four straight, but MacDonald let them put that streak behind them. The Chargers simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Condor 32-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Burlingame won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Archbishop Riordan 14-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Crusaders are ranked 460th).

Wilcox's victory bumped their record up to 4-7-2. As for Burlingame, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
