Volleyball Game Preview: Edgewood Mustangs vs. Indianapolis Washington Continentals

The Edgewood Mustangs will square off against the Indianapolis Washington Continentals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Indianapolis Washington took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Edgewood, who comes in off a win.

Edgewood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Speedway as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Kelianys Rosario-Aguilar, who had seven digs and two aces. What's more, she posted four assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Rosario-Aguilar wasn't the only good servers: Edgewood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. The Mustangs are 10-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on October 2nd as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Purdue Broad Ripple. While the Continentals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lynx 25-12 in the first set.

Indianapolis Washington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 26-24, 25-13, 25-14.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 17-15. As for Indianapolis Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
