Soccer Game Preview: Cypress Woods vs. Bridgeland

Cypress Woods is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Bridgeland is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cypress Woods Wildcats will welcome the Bridgeland Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Woods knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Bridgeland likes a good challenge.

Cypress Woods' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Cypress Park 6-0. Considering the Wildcats have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Cypress Park from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Camila Carrasco led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Bridgeland beat Cypress Ranch 2-0 on Tuesday. The Bears' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six contests.

Bridgeland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those 13 games. Cypress Woods' victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
