Game recap: McKinney North High School Football Team bests Greenville

GREENVILLE, Texas - McKinney North (McKinney, Texas) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat Greenville (Texas), 31-6, on Saturday.

The Bulldogs were up 10-0 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter.

McKinney North expanded its lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. MN scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return touchdown by Maliek Golden.

The McKinney school's most effective player was Will Ashun. The senior kicked one field goal and three extra points.

The Lions' lone touchdown came on a 35-yard pass in the fourth quarter.



The Bulldogs had struggled this season, allowing 31.3 points per game.

The win was a nice bounce back for McKinney North, which lost to Wylie last week, 35-20.

In a 4A Region II District 13 game next week Greenville (0-8) takes on Denison, and McKinney North (2-6) will go up against Wylie East also in a 4A Region II District 13 game.
