Volleyball Recap: Wapakoneta Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Wapakoneta kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Lake Lakers. If the Redskins were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Lakers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Wapakoneta was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15.

Savannah Stratton paced Wapakoneta's offense, picking up seven kills. Stratton got some help from Alaina Custer and her 13 assists.

Indian Lake was led to victory by Addyson Roby and Riley Ross. Roby had 23 assists and 12 digs, while Ross had 19 digs. That's the most digs Ross has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coincidentally, Wapakoneta and Indian Lake will both be playing Sidney the next time they take the court. The Redskins will host the Yellowjackets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lakers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
