Vina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterloo Cougars. One positive for the Red Devils, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Vina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Waterloo, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.

Vina has already played their next contest, a 16-0 loss against Red Bay on the 8th. As for Waterloo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Thrasher on the 8th.
