Preview: Louisburg Warriors vs. Northwood Chargers

The Louisburg Warriors will be playing at home against the Northwood Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Louisburg entered their tilt with Bunn with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Louisburg simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Bunn 28-0 on the road.

Donte' Strickland jr was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 105 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Eddie, who gained 130 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Northwood can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 55-6 win over Chatham Central on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-6.

Northwood found their leader in underclassman Grayson Cox, who threw for 340 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Blair, who picked up 100 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Louisburg is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Northwood, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Louisburg has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 184.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Northwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 180.6 per game. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
