Softball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. South Gate Rams

Franklin is 0-7 against South Gate since February of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. Franklin will be playing at home against South Gate at 3:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

South Gate will be up against a hot Franklin squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Franklin never let Harbor Teacher get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Gate). They were the clear victors by a 21-11 margin over South East on Wednesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for South Gate, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9.
