Basketball Recap: 12 Straight Home Wins for Southern Wake Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Wake Academy). They claimed a resounding 95-13 victory over the Triangle Math & Science Tigers. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Tigers are ranked 553rd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ira Wilson was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 14 points, 11 boards, and ten assists. Another player making a difference was William Knight, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Southern Wake Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
