Volleyball Game Preview: Ascension Episcopal vs. Westminster Christian Academy Chargers

Ascension Episcopal will head out on the road to square off against the Westminster Christian Academy Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ascension Episcopal is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Catholic - N.I. just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Ascension Episcopal couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Catholic - N.I. a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 30-32, 25-22, 25-20.

Westminster Christian Academy not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Westminster Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Ascension Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Ascension Episcopal skirted past Westminster Christian Academy 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ascension Episcopal since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
