Basketball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Beats Standley Lake for Their Third Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lewis-Palmer had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Standley Lake Gators 40-37. The victory was familiar territory for the Rangers, who have now won three games in a row.

Lewis-Palmer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Kenley, who posted six points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Graves, who earned six points.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rae Coronado, who had eight points. Another player making a difference was Macy Palmer, who scored seven points along with eight boards and five steals.

Lewis-Palmer pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Standley Lake, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-4.

Coming up, Lewis-Palmer will square off against Frederick at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Frederick will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Lewis-Palmer surely won't give up without a fight. Standley Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
