Basketball Game Preview: Morgan Raiders vs. Marietta Tigers

The Morgan Raiders will square off against the Marietta Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Morgan has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 3.

Morgan is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against John Glenn on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Morgan was outmatched by John Glenn and fell 82-35. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-18.

Meanwhile, Marietta entered their game against Monroe Central on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Marietta took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monroe Central.

Marietta's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3. As for Morgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Morgan beat Marietta 59-49 when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Will Morgan repeat their success, or does Marietta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
