Soccer Recap: Seffner Christian Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Seffner Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carrollwood Day Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost eight in a row.

Seffner Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for Carrollwood Day, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-6-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Seffner Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Foundation Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th. Seffner Christian is facing Foundation Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Foundation Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Carrollwood Day will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
