Soccer Recap: Frederick Takes a Loss

After flying high against Greeley West last Thursday, Frederick came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Monarch Coyotes on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Frederick it sure didn't stay that way.

Frederick's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Monarch, they moved to 2-5-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frederick will take on Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Frederick's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Monarch, they will host Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. Monarch's defense better be ready for this one: Horizon have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
