Basketball Game Preview: Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors vs. Bishop Snyder Cardinals

The Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Covenant School of Jacksonville took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They really took it to First Coast Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-21 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-13.

It was another big night for Callie Seltz, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. She also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Covenant School of Jacksonville is 3-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 2-3 otherwise. Taryn Johnson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They snuck past the Generals with a 39-34 win. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Generals are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Snyder has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
