Softball Recap: Loogootee Takes a Loss

Loogootee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Knox Warriors. Surprisingly, this marked the Lions' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Breanna Courter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jocelynn Sims, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Loogootee's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for North Knox, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loogootee will square off against Linton-Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Knox, they will head out to face off against Barr-Reeve at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
