Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cotopaxi Pirates, falling 29-2. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 18-3 to the Pirates when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Centennial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Molina, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Molina has posted since back in April of 2024. Aaron Salcido was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Centennial will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Sierra Grande at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Cotopaxi, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against South Park at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
