Softball Recap: Maclay Marauders vs. Godby Cougars
Maclay put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Godby Cougars as the Maclay Marauders made off with a 20-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Maclay considering their one-run performance the game before.
Victoria Gainey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Gainey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and four RBI.
In other batting news, Maclay got a massive performance out of Anelise Evers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Emmi Cayer was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
