Basketball Game Preview: St. Louis Park Orioles vs. New Prague Trojans

The St. Louis Park Orioles are taking a road trip to square off against the New Prague Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Louis Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully New Prague likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, St. Louis Park was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 72-71 to Waconia. The Orioles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, New Prague was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 93-64 loss at the hands of Orono. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Spartans are ranked 13th).

St. Louis Park's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for New Prague, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Everything came up roses for St. Louis Park against New Prague in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 78-51 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Louis Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
