Softball Recap: De Leon Comes Up Short

De Leon lost against Lipan two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats lost 21-7 to the Indians. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Payton Chupp made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Kaitlyn Hodges was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

De Leon's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lipan, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

De Leon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-6 win against Graford on the 8th. Lipan has also already played their next game (against Three Way), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
