Game recap: Estrella Foothills high school football team tops Antelope in sustained effort

Estrella Foothills (Goodyear, Ariz.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Antelope (Wellton, Ariz.), 42-0, on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Najee Jacobs in the first quarter, the Wolves led 21-0 at the half.

Estrella Foothills expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. EF scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Keean Bloomfield.

Jacobs stood out for the Goodyear school in the win. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.

The Wolves entered the contest giving up 24.4 points per game this year.



When the two teams played each other last season, Estrella Foothills came away with a 49-28 victory.

With the win EF extended its winning streak to three games.

Estrella Foothills (6-2) will play a non-conference game against Agua Fria next week, while Antelope (1-6) will take on Santa Cruz Valley also in a non-conference game.
