Football Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Savannah's offense. They were dealt a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bluejackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 448th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 182nd).

Savannah's record is now 0-5. As for Emanuel County Institute, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Savannah will challenge rival Claxton at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Emanuel County Institute is set to face off against their familiar foe Portal at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th.
