Basketball Game Preview: Bel Air Bobcats vs. Aberdeen Eagles

The Bel Air Bobcats will head out to take on the Aberdeen Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bel Air has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 18.

Last Friday, Bel Air was beaten by Patterson Mill 61-24. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th in Maryland, while Patterson Mill are ranked 66th in Maryland).

C. Milton Wright typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Aberdeen proved too difficult a challenge. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 48-26 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Bel Air's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Aberdeen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Bel Air came up short against Aberdeen when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 36-31. Can Bel Air avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
