Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern). They walked away with an 80-72 win over the Shawnee Golden Eagles on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Southern and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Shawnee, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern will venture away from home to challenge Iroquois at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern is facing Iroquois at the right time seeing as Iroquois is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Shawnee, they will head out on the road to take on Christian Educational Consortium at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Educational Consortium is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
