North Boone had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-18 win over the Winnebago Indians. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Boone will venture away from home to face off against Rock Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winnebago, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
